As part of my 2009 new year’s resolution to Be More Productive, I’m keeping track (sort of) of various monthly accomplishments. In January they were as follows:
Writing Accomplishments:
55,022 new words in a new draft. Wholly outlined said draft.
Reading Accomplishments:
Underground by Kat Richardson
Weddings from Hell (Anthology)
- “Till Death” by Maggie Shayne
- “Happily Never After” by Jeaniene Frost
- “Ghouls Night Out” by Terri Garey
- “The Wedding Knight” by Kathryn Smith
Small Favor by Jim Butcher
Midnight’s Daughter by Karen Chance

/ 4 February 2009I think this is a great idea and you should do this every month! (Yeah I already confirmed this on the phone, but I’m putting it in writing so it’s “officially” a great idea.) I really like writing down my own daily accomplishments before I go to bed each day. It feels good at the time and later it serves as a very brief journal entry to capture my life from a sort of bird’s-eye view.
Anyway, back to you, both the successful outline AND the prodigious word-count (take THAT, stopping at 25,000 words!) are immense things to be proud of! Go you!
