The new laptop is almost here!

My husband bought me a belated wedding gift:

A Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook (a 10″ mini-sized laptop) and it’s arriving Thursday! It was originally slated for April 29th, which was ridiculous since he ordered it on April 7th, but YAY for it coming early!

It’s both an investment for my writing and because he bought himself (cough, I bought him) a similar-in-adoration-inspiring belated wedding gift in Utah, a brand-new ski jacket (a Spyder Zermatt in snazzy red).

My writing has been nonexistent lately. It’s both the nesting in the new apartment syndrome coupled with the “Oh-my-gosh-new-computer-is-coming” plus the fact that our friend loaned us her Wii for a few weeks… yeah. I’ll stick with that. I’m also in the midst of crazy wedding thank you cards and fixing things in the apartment and going to the gym to get in bikini body shape for the honeymoon in May. (That latter is very daunting.) I’m also reading a bit, or trying to, but to be honest the time has been zooming by. It’s shocking me how speedily time is flying! Is this how it feels for everyone or has this just been a whirlwind of a month (or two, or three) for only me?

Hopefully once the new toy arrives I’ll have the renewed impetus to kick some serious novel butt.
