Post-Groundhog Randomness

Tuesday February 3, 2009

Punxsutawney Phil really wants to see my wedding snowed in, doesn’t he? Honestly, snow would be delightful in March but I’m dreading mucky slush. And it will be mucky slush, I know it. Mark my words, nimble readers, it will be slushing muckily on March 7, 2009 in New York City.

Forward progress has slowed since the weekend because I was redesigning the main website. It’s now back with a Wordpress installation — it had been on Joomla — and I am now an exceedingly happy camper. It’s probably always going to be a perpetual work in progress (as any good website should be, I think), shifting to meet my needs, but for now, it’s fun and clean and I enjoy it. Definitely give me feedback here or there or anywhere (the comments of this post — yes, I am looking at one or two particular lurkers especially, ha) about it. (At present it all goes to me — one day I dream of a staff to micromanage… but alas, not today.) But yes, I’d lovez me some feedback!

On the new draft front, she is progressing swimmingly. I’m a scene and a half, thereabouts, before the kick-to-the-climax, and once I grind through those scenes it’ll be fingers-blurring speed once more. Tally ho! Hopefully. I also have (*grumble*) wedding things to take care of (start taking care of…) so that might impede the progress. I shall muddle through as usual.

  2. …one would think I disagree with you. And yet… Hehe. Yes, the wedding does matter, I think I’m coming to terms with that. Societal expectations being met by Bryan and I being gushed at while in formal wear? Yeah, I think I am slowly coming around. >.> Does not mean I want it to slush, though. Crystalline white flakes… yeah, I wouldn’t mind gallivanting about southern Manhattan in that.
