I’ve got quite the Books to Read list, more or less made up of the books on my library list that I really need to read and return before I can’t renew them anymore. (By the way, the New York Public Library’s rule that allows up to 5 renews is awesome. My old library in high school only allowed 2. I was always so crushed by that!)
So to read I have:
- Cast in Secret by Michele Sagara
- The Cup of the World by John Dickinson
- The Widow and the King by John Dickinson
- Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley
- The Kestrel by Lloyd Alexander
- The Beggar Queen by Lloyd Alexander
- Dragon’s Keep by Janet Lee Carey
- The Healer’s Keep by Victoria Hanley
- The Light of the Oracle by Victoria Hanley
- The Sword of Shannara by Terry Brooks
- The Wishsong of Shannara by Terry Brooks
- Crispin: At the Edge of the World by Avi
And then I have Greywalker waiting for me at the local NYPL branch to be picked up. Gosh I need to get on reading so I can return all of these books!
Also, I was thinking lately about WordPress’ fantastic ability to keep tabs on blog statistics. (One of the reasons why I love blogging here as opposed to other free blogging services.) When I see this blog has gotten a lot of hits I always wonder from where — did they find me on Facebook or somewhere, or did a search engine bring someone here randomly? It’s fascinating to me to read these statistics. I tend to get about 6-10 hits a day from various sources and that’s fun to see. I hope you enjoy reading, folks out there! (Feel free to comment or contact me by the way.)
I did do some writing yesterday — I’m quite proud of myself. I also organized some of my iTunes library (always a messy task) and put two loads of dishes through the dishwasher. Our dishwasher, I’ve realized, really is small. It’s sort of surprising for me to realize it doesn’t take much to fill it up… a cutting board, a few bowls, and it’s suddenly full. So if I do any real cooking it fills up that much faster. Kind of annoying, actually. Boo inefficiency. Though admittedly in our studio there isn’t that much room for things like large, efficient dishwashers… Well. Enough griping. Off to work!
