I was listening to the Beauty and the Beast Original Broadway soundtrack and during the song “If I Can’t Love Her” — the show-stopper at the end of Act I that the Beast sings — I’m always struck with an odd impression of the character Corlath, from The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley.
