the random ponderings of e. f. danehy

wherein she discusses such things as writing, fantasy literature & criticism, & nerdy popular culture (using much parenthetical commentary & tangential ramblings).

It’s still light, and it’s 9:07pm.

No wonder the French are cranky. I mean… (Just kidding.) It’s a higher latitude than I’m used to I suppose… I’m just interested to see when the sun actually sets. It’s a bit better than dusk now, but like a cloudy sky sort of dusk. It’s been brightly hot and sunny all day, and it’s still warm. I think the cafés are likely bursting with patrons at this time of night. I’ll hit them up tomorrow. For now, I want to concentrate on relaxing on my first night in Paris. I’ve got a book to finish, stuff to write, and German to study preemptively. If my French coming back to me this quickly is any indication, I likely won’t need the refresher too intensively, but it can’t hurt.
